Celebrating The Wild Atlantic Way - April 18th 2024
The major global travel trade-fair Meitheal, took place in Killarney and it celebrated ten years of the Wild Atlantic Way. Amber Galwey attended the event and she spoke to Josephine O’Driscoll, who is Wild Atlantic Way manager for Kerry and West Cork. Amber also spoke to a number of businesses that were taking part: - James Murphy, owner and founder of Portmagee Whiskey - Carmel Flynn, head of sales and marketing with Parknasilla Resort and Spa - Denis Dempsey, owner of Kinsale Mead Head of the Wild Atlantic Way in Fáilte Ireland, Miriam Kennedy also spoke about Meitheal and how important it is for tourism:

Jerry spoke to Minister Catherine Martin who was in Killarney yesterday for the Meitheal trade show, organised by Fáilte Ireland and Tourism Ireland. The event coincided with the 10th anniversary of the Wild Atlantic Way brand. He spoke to her about this, other tourism and hospitality matters, as well as issues relating to public sector broadcasting.
