Moran’s of Dingle West Kerry Senior Football Championship 2020 Semi-Final

Dingle 3-14 to 2-8 Annascaul

Barry O’Sullivan opened the scoring for Dingle with a point from play. Within minutes Annascaul responded with a wonderful Jason Hickson goal from play after a great run through the Dingle defence. Two Dylan Geaney point from free kicks for Dingle had them level, and young Geaney put them ahead with his first point from play shortly after. Cathal Ferriter kicked a point from play for Annascaul and Dingle responded with a point from play from Dylan Geaney. Dingle’s Dylan Geaney scored his side’s first goal shortly after when he spotted the Annascaul keeper off his line and kicked a long ball to the open net. The score after 15 minutes played in the first half in Páirc an Ághasaigh, Dingle - Dingle 1-5 to 1-1 Annascaul.

Tomás Sheehy kicked a point from play for Dingle, this was followed with a Barry O’Sullivan point from play before Sheehy kicked another point from play for the home side. Dylan Geaney with a point from play for Dingle and Jason Hickson with a point from a free kick for Annascaul was the last action of the first half. When Referee Brendan Brosnan blew the half time whistle the score in the Moran’s of Dingle West Kerry Senior Championship Semi Final was Dingle 1-9 to 1-2 Annascaul.

Jason Hickson opened the second half scoring with a point from play for Annascaul. This was followed with a James Crean point to reduce the lead to five points. Two Tomás Sheehy points from play followed before Ruadhán McCarthy scored a goal for Dingle. Annascaul responded with points from play for James Crean and Aidan Crean. The score after 15 minutes played in the second half in Páirc an Ághasaigh, Dingle - Dingle 2-11 to 1-6 Annascaul.

Tomás Sheehy scored the third goal for Dingle. Annascaul responded with a point from play for James Crean and a point from a free kick from Jason Hickson. Aidan Crean scored a goal for Annascual but it was the home side Dingle with a point from play from Ruadhán McCarthy that had the last kick of the game.
