Kerry inspiration for family business specialising in luxury vacation rentals
Unique Irish Homes is a family-run, Irish business specialising in curating exceptional luxury vacation rentals in Ireland and, most recently, select parts of Europe. It was inspired by the owners’ having a rental property themselves in Kerry. Founder, Rosie Campbell, and her daughter Megan Campbell, who has just joined the business, talk about its beginnings and the difficulties in the short-term rental sector.

On the Saturday Supplement with Joe McGill we’ll hear a new series ‘A Blas of Kerry; Women in Food’, a unique 8 part series where we will focus on female entrepreneurs who have their own food businesses in Kerry. The first two episodes will feature Mary O’Brien Browne who along with her husband Alan Browne fish for Oysters in Tralee bay and Wilma’s Killorglin Farmhouse Cheese. Also a new 10 part series called Logainmneacha Chiarraí where national school children in Kerry will tell the stories and meaning of local place names in their area. We’ll hear from the school children of Scoil Derarca, on Valentia Island and the school children of Curraheen National School in Glenbeigh. We’ll also have Kerry County Council Creative Kingdom letting you know what’s going on in the Arts world.
