This week's guest on 'Stand Out with Ian O’Connell' is cancer survivor and author Katherine Griffin. Katherine was battling cancer beside her father who went through 5 different cancer diagnosis and fought the disease for 9 years until he passed away on World Cancer Day 2017. As Katherine says she has “Unfinished business with cancer” and she is on a mission to help more survivors by fundraising for cancer research in her dad’s honour. She says she is proud to be a survivor.” Katherine shares her coping methods in her new book that is called “Hope to Cope”. She tells Ian her story about battling cancer at the same time as her father, Katherine’s mom walking out of the house when she was young, grief, where she wrote her book, having hope and much more.
