A Tralee woman, who is struggling with the after effects of COVID-19, is warning against complacency.

Jill was diagnosed with COVID-19 in April and four months later she is still struggling to recover.

She is young with no underlying conditions and doesn't drink or smoke.

Before her diagnosis she was fit and healthy and used was a runner, Jill also trained three times a week with her local GAA team.

Jill still feels exhausted and describes COVID-19 as a nightmare, adding she is terrified the virus will return and attack her body again.

She's warning against complacency:
