The International Cricket Council says it's "delighted" the sport has been put forward for inclusion in the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles.
It will now be up to the International Olympics Committee to approve the recommendation.
The ICC has called this a "significant landmark" after a two-year process to make the recommended list.
