Former Manchester City striker Francis Lee has died aged 79, following a long battle with cancer.

He scored 148 goals in 330 games for the club, winning the first division title and both domestic cup competitions between 1967 and 1974.

Lee - who also played for Bolton and Derby - returned to City in 1994, spending four years as chairman.
