Some of the candidates running in the Kenmare Local Electoral Area for the June 7th local elections took part in today’s debate. In studio with Jerry was Podge Foley Independent, independent councillor Johnny Healy-Rae, Fianna Fáil councillor Norma Moriarty, Stephanie O’Shea of Sinn Féin and Teddy O’Sullivan Casey of Fine Gael. Education Minister and Fianna Fáil TD Norma Foley spoke to Jerry ahead of her party’s Ard Fheis this weekend. As Minister for Education, she has announced new anti-bullying measures for schools. Jerry also asked her if Fianna Fáil plans to run a candidate in the Kenmare Local Electoral Area to replace Cllr John Francis Flynn who won’t be contesting June’s elections. Fianna Fáil’s two other councillors in the Kenmare Municipal District, Michael Cahill and Norma Moriarty are running.
