The Platform Series on Radio Kerry is funded by Coimisiún na Meán with the television licence fee and it aims to help Kerry organisations raise awareness of their work.
A group of people have come together in Moyvane to set up a festival in honour of one of its native sons, the late writer John Moriarty.

They've been working tirelessly over the last number of months to establish the inaugual event, which takes place in the North Kerry village of his birth, over the weekend of June 21 to 23.
Among those taking part will be comedian Tommy Tiernan.
The festival is sponsored by Solar Harmony Ireland and backed by Kerry County Council.
