Public warned to remain vigilant about WhatsApp and Revenue scams

Gardaí are urging the public to remain vigilant regarding mobile phone scams, particularly on WhatsApp.

People are advised to never send codes to known contacts when messaged on the platform.

Sending these codes allows online scammers to hack and take over a person's WhatsApp account.
