The Listowel Harvest Racing Festival gets underway tomorrow.
The seven-day event dates back to 1858, and includes the McElligotts Kia Best Dressed Lady and Sustainable Style competitions.
Racegoers are asked to be mindful of traffic management plans in place by the Gardaí, and to use the designated parking areas.
Sgt Diarmuid O'Brien is urging patrons to use the new Listowel bypass, which allows for access to all race car parks:
Designated car parks for the festival are in Greenville, off the Greenville Road and Convent Road, as well as the n69 Tralee to Listowel Road. Parking will also be available in Barret's Field on the Bridge Road. As well as this, around 400 car park spaces are available in Listowel town.
He warns that fixed penalty notices will be issued to those illegally parking.
Racegoers with limited mobility are asked to park at the Tralee Road car park for accessibility reasons.
Taxis are asked to carry out their drop offs at the top of the Greenville Road.
Motorists are asked to be patient and to comply with Gardaí and stewards on the day to ensure smooth running of the events.
