A Kerry County Councillor has criticised Uisce Éireann for how it communicated with the public about water outages over the weekend.
Councillor Charlie Farrelly says people in Castleisland were told by the water utility that it would supply a water tanker in the town from six o'clock (6pm) on Friday evening.
However, it didn't arrive until almost 10pm, nearly four hours later.
He says restaurants and nursing home were particularly affected by the outage.
Councillor Farrelly believed Uisce Éireann shouldn't have given people a specific time, as it caused them to wait outside for almost four hours.
Uisce Éireann has been contacted for comment.
