A one-way traffic management plan will be re-introduced this summer along a popular West Kerry drive.

Kerry County Council says a clockwise traffic management system will be re-established for visitors to Slea Head (Slí Cheann Sléibhe).

This system will come into place on Friday (June 27th) and will continue until September 12th; motorists are being asked to start their drive around Slea Head in Dingle town.

A council employee will be stationed at Com Dhíneol each 10.30am to 4pm each day, encouraging vehicles to travel in the anti-clockwise direction.

The council says local access will be maintained during this period.

Kerry County Council is asking vehicles to travel in a clockwise direction around Cheann Sléibhe, commencing in Daingean Uí Chúis, then on to Ceann Trá, Cheann Sléibhe, Com Dhíneol, Dún Chaoin, Baile an Fheirtéaraigh, Muríoch, An Fheothanach and return to Daingean Uí Chúis.
