Minister confirms that Ukrainian refugees can stay in Killarney

The 135 Ukrainian woman and children are being allowed stay in Killarney.

They aren't being moved to Mayo this morning, as had been planned, to make way for 200 male asylum seekers.

Minister Norma Foley had been in talks with Minister Roderic O'Gorman as she was concerned for the children in school; she has confirmed the Ukrainians are staying.
