COVID-19 vaccines that were due to be delivered to GP practices in West Kerry this morning have arrived this afternoon.
GPs in West Kerry are administering jabs to patients this afternoon.
The HSE has not explained what caused the delay.
In a statement to Radio Kerry, it says it continues to make significant efforts to improve its engagement with general practice in relation to the vaccination programme.
It's working with around 1,000 GP practices across two vaccine types.
The HSE says GPs currently get at least seven days' notice of vaccine allocations.
It says it provides each GP practice with a relationship manager to support them in the vaccination programme.
