The Construction IT Alliance (CitA) is holding a business support event at the Thermohouse Manufacturing Facility in Killarney today.
The event is part of a national initiative by Skillnet Ireland in partnership with Modern Methods of Construction (MMC) Ireland
ThermoHouse manufactures a rapid build nearly zero energy (nZEB) housing system called Thermohouse Insulated Concrete Forms (ICF) at its Coolcaslagh site.
Those in attendance will get insights into the MMC landscape from industry experts.
Thermohouse ICFs include fully-insulated concrete-build interlocking walls, floors and roof modules.
Speakers will include Alan Hore and Órla Gilroy from Skillnet MMC Accelerate, Damien Gleeson and Denis Weathers from Thermohouse, Conor Will Hayes from the Irish Concrete Federation, and James O'Halloran from Clúid. The panel will share their insights and experiences in delivering MMC practices.
These upcoming business support events are designed to guide construction businesses through the evolving MMC landscape, offering insights from industry experts and valuable networking opportunities. Alongside these events, Skillnetmmcaccelerate.ie provides a resource for MMC construction companies and professionals of education and upskilling opportunities, industry insights, supports and research, to accelerate the adoption of Modern Methods of Construction (MMC) in Ireland.
