Austin O'Connor and Colorado Blue have secured a 13th place finish in the indivial eventing final in Tokyo.

O'Connor picked up a total of four faults in the final.

Ireland finished eighth in the team event, with Great Britain securing the gold.

Despite clocking a season's best time, Phil Healy has missed out on a place in the women's 200 metres semi-finals.

The Cork woman's time of 23.21 seconds saw her finish fifth in her heat.

There was disappointment for Ciara Mageean and Sarah Healy in the women's 15-hundred metres.

Mageean finished tenth in her heat in a time of 4 minutes 7-point-2-9-seconds.

There was an eleventh place finish for Sarah Healy in her heat in a time of 4 minutes 9-point-7-8 seconds.

Neither time was enough to advance to the semi-finals.

2016 finalist Oliver Dingley failed to make the semi-finals of the men's 3-metre springboard.

The 28-year-old finished 25th in the preliminary round.
