The much anticipated Boylesports Irish Greyhound Derby ended in disappointment for the three Kerry-owned dogs.

Pestana for Des Grace from Tralee went off the favourite from Trap 4 his race ended after a collision with the other two Kerry dogs - Ballymac Wild and Ballymac Cooper for Liam Dowling at the first bend.

The winner was Newinn Taylor, Meenagh Miracle was second and Ballymac Cooper was third.

Ballymac Kingdom won the 8th race at Shelbourne Park for Liam Dowling in a time of 41.27 from Trap 5.

At Curraheen Park in Cork, there was a win for the Michael O'Doherty owned Lasair Mo Chroí in the 5th race in a time of 28.62 from Trap 1.
