Water connection to new Ardfert housing estate completed

Tenants at a new local authority housing estate in Ardfert will get the keys to their new homes after the water connection to the development was recently completed.

A special meeting of Tralee Municipal District was told that Irish Water has finished the water connection to Lathair na hÁrd Éaglaise after a five-month delay. Tenants have been waiting since February to receive the keys to their new homes.

Sinn Féin councillor Deirdre Ferris said this is great news for the tenants and for Ardfert. Councillor Ferris said the delays led to uncertainty and people can now make plans to enrol their children in school and organise school transport.
