Sinn Féin leader says Kerry hospitality businesses need clear guidelines

The Sinn Féin leader is calling for clarity on rules for indoor dining.

Mary Lou McDonald was speaking as official guidelines for indoor dining are expected to be published later today.

She says she’s alarmed at reports of conflict between the Attorney General Paul Gallagher and ministers over potential legal ramifications of the new legislation.

Deputy McDonald says this confusion affects all those who work in hospitality, with Kerry in particular hard hit due to the county’s reliance on tourism.

The Sinn Féin leader, who’s in Kerry today, says clear and easily enforceable regulations are needed.
