Signs being erected on Kerry coasts to encourage reporting of suspicious activity

New signs are to be erected at beaches, piers and marinas around Kerry, asking the public to report suspicious activity to Gardaí.

It's part of the Garda Coast Watch initiative, headed up in Kerry by Inspector Emma Clerkin, along with five sergeants and 14 Gardaí.

The signs will feature barcodes, directing the public on where to report anything unusual around Kerry's coasts.

The incidents which Gardaí are particularly interested in, including illegal dumping, suspicious ships and damage to safety equipment.
