A man and his dog who got into difficulties in a motor boat off the Blasket Islands last night, were brought to safety by Fenit lifeboat.
A 999 call was made by the man at about ten to eight last night, when his boat began taking in water.
Both Fenit and Valentia lifeboats were tasked to the scene, as well as a rescue helicopter, while another boat which was in the vicinity also assisted.

The man was eventually brought to safety into Fenit.
