A man has died on the rail line between Cork and Mallow yesterday after being struck by a train.
The incident happened at approximately 4.40pm, resulting in cancelled and postponed services between Dublin and Cork.
This had knock-on effects and caused significant delays for those travelling to Kerry.

The area underwent a garda investigation and was closed for several hours.
