There has been a 13% rise in the number of complaints made against solicitors in Kerry.
That’s according to figures released in the Legal Services Regulatory Authority (LSRA) annual report for 2025.
The legal watchdog deals with complaints related to the work of solicitors and barristers.
60 complaints were made to the Legal Services Regulatory Authority from Kerry in 2025.
That accounts for 3.36% of all complaints made to the legal watchdog last year.
Nationally, 2,315 query files were opened by complaints staff, 1,788 were subsequently classified as complaints.
Just under 1,700 (1,699) were in relation to solicitors, while 89 concerned barristers.
Kerry ranked seventh in the most complaints lodged in the state, behind Dublin (733), Cork (199), Kildare (86), Galway (75), Limerick (71), and Donegal (63).
The number of complaints to the LSRA from Kerry rose by 13% in a year, rising from 53 in 2024, to 60 last year.
