The Polish Ambassador to Ireland has praised his countrymen and women in Kerry for promoting integration and understanding among communities.
Ambassador Artur Michalksi was speaking at the Polish-Irish Family Festival which took place on Sunday.
He describes the contribution Poles have made to Ireland as 'indispensable'.
Ambassador Michalski said events such as the festival promote cohesion.
Edyta Skwira is on the organising committee of the Polish-Irish Family Festival.
She says it's all about promoting understanding.
Ms Skwira says Kerry's Polish community has become more involved in organising events, including musical and cultural celebrations.
