Public advised to not enter the sea due to status yellow thunderstorm warning

Kerry County Council has advised the public to avoid swimming in the sea.

This is due to a status yellow thunderstorm warning that will be in place until 8pm this evening.

During the warning times of 5.15pm and 8pm today all beaches will be red flagged.

Met Éireann is warning of potential localised flooding, lightning damage and difficult driving conditions.
