Over 3,100 students in Kerry received road safety education talks in a six-month period.
That’s according to figures provided by the council’s Road Safety Officer, Declan Keogh at a recent MD meeting.
The data shows school visits and deliverables achieved by the local authority between October and the end of March.

During the fourth quarter of last year, 515 primary school and 170 secondary school pupils received the talks.
Between January and March, more than 640 further national school students benefitted.
Meanwhile, 1,800 post-primary pupils attended the AXA road safety conference in March, bringing the total to 3,131.
