Kerry Fire Service is at the scene of a blaze near Moll's Gap.
The gorse fire broke out close to Five Mile Bridge on the N71 Killarney-Kenmare road.
Killarney gardaí say emergency services are at the scene.

The road from Muckross to Moll's Gap is closed and likely to remain so for some time.
Anyone travelling to Kenmare should use the Kilgarvan road.
