There was a decrease in wait times for criminal cases in Tralee District and Circuit Courts.
That's according to figures from the Courts Service Annual Report for 2025.
Wait times for criminal trials in Tralee Circuit Court have fallen from 57 weeks in 2024 to 52 weeks in 2025,.
The process for sentences dropped 55% from 18 weeks to eight, while the timeline for appeals shortened 73% from 30 weeks to eight.
The District Court also saw a decrease in their criminal proceedings wait times.
Processing adult charge sheets reduced from 15 weeks to 10.
Only adult summonses did not decrease with the timeline staying at 9 weeks.
