A north Kerry woman living in Lanzarote says visitors to the Canary Islands should not be asked to quarantine when they return home.

The Spanish-owned islands off the coast of Africa are not on the Irish Government's Green Travel List and holidaymakers must quarantine for two weeks after returning home from the Canaries.

While there's been a spike in cases of Covid-19 in mainland Spain, there are currently only 11 cases on Lanzarote where Lyrecrompane-native Áine Collins owns the 'Bucket List' Bar with her husband Nathan Tadier.

She says her business is down 50 percent as a result of the pandemic and, in particular, the resulting travel restrictions:
