The All-Ireland-winning Kerry team will be welcomed home to the Kingdom this evening.
The team will be travelling down to Kerry after defeating Donegal in yesterday’s All-Ireland Senior Football Final.
Their train is due to stop in Rathmore, and local councillor Niall Kelleher says it will be great to celebrate the Rathmore playing contingent.
The team is due to arrive in Tralee at around 6:15pm, when they will make their way down Boherbee and Castle Street, then on to Denny Street, in the open-top bus.
Mayor of Tralee, Terry O’Brien, is asking people to wear the Kerry colours and show their support on the streets this evening.
The Kerry players will then travel to Killarney, and take an open-top bus from Fitzgerald Stadium via Lewis Road and College Street, to a reception in the Glebe Car Park.
Their evening will continue with an event in the Gleneagle Hotel, with doors open there at 9pm.
Cathaoirleach of the Killarney Municipal District, Cllr Martin Grady, says there will be a great atmosphere in the town.
