A Kerry county councillor says Uisce Éireann must urgently invest in the water network in Milltown.
Councillor Tommy Griffin was at the match in Croke Park yesterday when he started receiving calls complaining that the water supply was suddenly shut off in parts of Milltown and Callinafercy.
He says he spoke to a representative of Uisce Éireann, who told him that water levels supplying the area were critically low.
Milltown gets water from three different reservoirs, and the Fine Gael councillor described two of them as "completely inadequate".
He says there is significant housing development throughout Milltown, with more and more homes being connected to the already under-pressure water network.
