The Hugh O’Flaherty Memorial Society has announced the resumption of its international humanitarian award programme.
The Killarney based group celebrate the heroic deeds of Monsignor O’Flaherty with support from his family, Kerry County Council and Killarney Chamber.
It says the 12th annual award ceremony will return to Killarney in October following a six-year absence.
Previous Hugh O’Flaherty Memorial Society recipients include Ireland’s UN Peacekeepers; Donal Walsh; the RNLI, Irish Coast Guard and Kerry Mountain Rescue.
The society says a call out for nominations for the 2026 award will be announced soon.
