Gardaí seek public's help following attempted break-in to Tarbert House

Gardaí are investigating an attempted break-in to Tarbert House, one of North Kerry's most historically significant buildings.

An intruder was spotted attempting to open the chain at the side gate of Tarbert House, Tarbert, between 1.30am and 2am on Friday last.

They left a short time later, having failed to gain access.

Tarbert House is a Queen Anne Georgian building, and is home to the Leslie family since 1690.

Anyone who was in the area around this time on Friday morning, and may have noticed anything suspicious, is asked to contact the gardaí at Tarbert or any garda station.
