The health watchdog has found residents of a centre for people with disabilities in Kilcummin have a high quality of care and support.
The Health Information and Quality Authority carried out an unannounced safeguarding inspection at Kilcummin Residential Services on March 4th.
The inspector found that residents were provided with a high quality of care and support in their home, which ensured they were safeguarded against potential abuse, and their rights were promoted and respected.
Kilcummin Residential Services was found to be compliant in eight areas of the Health Act 2007 and substantially compliant in one area, which was positive behavioural support.
A compliance plan has been put in place to ensure staff have up-to-date knowledge and skills to respond to challenging behaviour and to support residents to manage their behaviour.
