Are you looking for a Daycation somewhere in the county with your friends, family or a trip for yourself. Well, we have teamed up with Failte Ireland to help you experience the best Daycation ever. One of the places we visited was Tarbert Bridewell.
It was built in 1831 and for more than 100 years Tarbert Bridewell stood as the county’s courthouse and jail. Symbolic of the harsh and inefficiently cruel justice system of 19th Century Ireland, Tarbert Bridewell now houses an informative and immersive showcase of what is was like to live in 1800’s Kerry.
Kaya spoke to Barbara Carey, chairperson of Tarbert Bridewell about what you can experience by visiting the museum!
