Gardaí investigating after mutilated fox found hanging from overhead line on Cork Kerry border

Gardaí are investigating after a mutilated fox was found hanging from an overhead line on the Cork Kerry border.

The animal was discovered last evening near Guiney’s Bridge, Rockchapel close to Brosna.

A photograph sent to Radio Kerry shows that the fox had been decapitated.

The animal’s head is attached to the overhead wire.

The rest of the fox’s body is attached to a rope or twine suspended from the line.

Gardaí says the animal has been removed.
