Elon Musk’s Tesla will soon have a presence in Killarney.
It’s after Kerry County Council granted planning permission for the Irish wing of the company, Tesla Motors Ireland Limited, to develop a charging hub for electric vehicles.
The eight EV charging bays, with Tesla-illuminated charging units, will be located in the Deerpark Retail Park in Killarney.

The development will also require a modular substation, and the installation of Tesla supercharger equipment.
Tesla superchargers are already up and running in Kerry, at the Ballygarry Estate Hotel and Spa just outside Tralee.
