Gardaí are investigating after a child was knocked down by a car in Listowel this morning.
The incident happened around 9am on the Ballybunion road, near the Presentation Primary school.
It's understood the eight-year-old girl, who was struck, was taken to University Hospital Kerry and is in a stable condition.

Gardaí arrested a man at the scene; they've since released him.
