A cardinal with strong Kerry connections is unlikely to be the next pontiff despite his friendship with the late Pope Francis.
That's according to Kerry Dominican, Fr Michael Commane, who says Cardinal Timothy Radcliffe would make a good pope.
Cardinal Radcliffe, who's English, visited Holy Cross Dominican Friary in Tralee while he was head of that religious order.

Pope Francis made him cardinal last year.
