Boy remains in serious condition following fatal Killarney crash

It's understood that a teenage boy who was injured in a fatal road crash in Killarney yesterday morning remains in a serious condition in hospital.

The boy was a passenger in a car that was involved in a collision on the Ross Road in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

The driver, 14-year-old Thomas Healy from the Gap of Dunloe in Beaufort, was killed.

The Garda Síochána Ombudsman Commission is investigating.

Thomas Healy's remains are being brought to the family home today and his family are appealing for privacy this afternoon, when he returns.

The boy's funeral will take place in St Mary's Church, Beaufort on Saturday morning.

Funeral arrangements for a young Killorglin man who was killed in a crash near Listry on Tuesday evening have been announced.

James 'Jimmy' O'Connor, who was in his 30s, was riding a motorbike which was involved in a collision with a car between Listry Cross and Faha Cross.

His funeral will take place in St James's Church, Killorglin on Saturday morning.
