The average price of buying a home jumped by 10% in twelve months.
That’s according to the CSO’s Residential Property Price Index for April, which shows a rise across all Eircode areas.
It shows the average price of a dwelling in the county €297,000 up from €270,000 in a year.
Prices in the V23 (Cahersiveen) area soared by almost 20% to over €292,000 (€292,500), while more than €256,000 (€256,500) was the average cost of a property in the V31 area (Listowel), an 8% rise.
There was a 15% jump in the price of homes in the V93 (Killarney) region to €345,000, the most expensive in the county.
The average price of a property in the V92 (Tralee) Eircode rose by 12.5% to over €281,000 (€281,333).
The figures show, the cost of purchasing a dwelling in the P51 area rose by almost 6%, to €270,000, while residential properties in the V94 area (which includes Abbeyfeale, Athea and Glin) jumped by 7.4%.
