Alternative water supplies are available in Kenmare today for anyone affected by low or reduced water pressure.
Uisce Éireann says an operational issue at the Kenmare water plant led to reduced reservoir levels, which are now recovering.
It says customers in Kenmare town, Gortamullin, Dromquinna, Templenoe, Kilmurry, Lissaniska, Dromneavane, Killowen, Caher East, Bonane and surrounding areas may experience low or reduced pressure.
Alternative supplies are available at Kenmare GAA pitch, Kenmare square, and Sneem Road near the Kenmare Bay Hotel, while bottled water is also available at Kenmare square.
People are expected to get their water back by 6am tomorrow, but this may be a few hours later for customers in higher-lying areas and at the end of supply.
Anyone taking water from the available tankers in Kenmare should use their own containers and boil the water before consumption as a precautionary measure.
