Residents of Abbeydorney are being urged to support local businesses during upcoming road safety improvement works.
Elected representatives in the Listowel Municipal District recently voted to proceed with planned safety works at an accident blackspot in the village.
The improvements works are centred on the intersection between the R556, the R557 and the L2002 in Abbeydorney village.

The junction has been the scene of several collisions, with local councillors labelling the area as “treacherous”.
Annie O’Mahony, who lives in Abbeydorney, says it’s a welcome development that the long-term issue will be addressed.
