Around 5,000 cyclists took off this morning for the annual Ring of Kerry Charity Cycle.
Now in its 44th year, the event takes place along the 170km Ring of Kerry route, starting and finishing in Killarney.
Since the inaugural cycle back in 1982, the cycle has raised almost €22 million for more than 200 charities and voluntary community organisations.
There was a ceremonial start time of 7:30 this morning, with a moment to remember the late Ollie Favier, Dermot Galvin, and Paddy O’Donoghue.
There will be rolling road closures, and closures of car parks, along the 170km route and in Killarney town across the day.
Full details of the disruptions are available here.
