The cost of buying a home in Kerry jumped by 15% in the year to December.
That’s according to the CSO’s Residential Property Price Index, which shows prices rose across all Eircode areas in the county.
The report shows the average price in the county at the end of 2025 was €290,000, up from €252,000 in 12 months.
Properties with V23 eircodes (Cahersiveen area) jumped by over 23% to €290,000, while there was an almost 18% rise in the V31 Listowel area to just under €250,000 (€249,850).
Homes in the V93 – Killarney area - are the most expensive, costing on average over €332,000 (€332,500) a 12.7% increase
There was an almost 15% in the average price of properties in the V92 – Tralee area, to €270,000.
Meanwhile, homes in the P51 area rose by almost 4% to €265,000 on average.
Over the county bounds, residential properties in the V94 area (which includes Abbeyfeale, Athea and Glen) cost on average €353,250, a 14% increase.
Nationally the median price of a home is €387,000, while in Dublin it's now half a million euro.
