The finalising of a case involving a Tralee teenager and the online racial abuse of former Arsenal footballer Ian Wright has been adjourned until next week.
18-year-old Patrick O’Brien of 8 Sycamore Court, Ashleigh Downs, Tralee has pleaded guilty to two charges, arising from the harassment of the former player.
Tralee District Court last year heard that Mr O’Brien sent a string of up to 20 messages, which were “crass, racist and threatening.”
Mr Wright has since said he forgives the teenager who harassed him.
Defending solicitor Pat Mann said the case was adjourned due to COVID-19 restrictions and will now take place on Wednesday the 3rd of February.
