England through as Group D winners

A pair of sensational goals from Lauren James booked England’s place in the last-16 of the World Cup as Group D winners.

They’ll play Nigeria in Brisbane on Monday following today’s 6-1 thrashing of China.

Denmark finished second in Group D courtesy of a 2-nil win over Haiti, and next up for them is a last-16 meeting with Australia.
