Women who helped save swimmer's life at Banna Beach highlights importance of life buoys

One of the women who saved the life of a swimmer at Banna Beach yesterday has highlighted the importance of life buoys.

The rescue occurred on the beach at around 12.30 on Monday afternoon when a woman got into difficulty while swimming.

Bernie Slattery from Ardfert, Mary McDonnell from Tralee, and Jack Duggan from Clahane, Tralee responded to calls for help to save the woman’s life.
