Waiting times for driving tests at Kerry centres within 10-week service level agreement

Driving test waiting times in both Kerry testing centres are operating within the 10-week service level agreement.

That's according to the most recent report from the RSA to Minister of State Sean Canney, which was released today.

Wait times in Killarney are currently 8 weeks, while learner drivers will have to wait ten weeks to sit their test in the Tralee centre.

This is a slight increase from last year, when learner drivers in Killarney and Tralee had a wait of 7 and 9 weeks respectively.

Of the 57 centres currently in operation nationwide, 35 are operating at or below a 10-week wait.

The national average waiting time now stands at 10.3 weeks, a slight improvement on the 10.6 weeks recorded at the end of 2025

The longest wait times are in Dublin, with Mulhuddart (22 weeks), Dun Laoghaire (21 weeks) and Raheny (19 weeks), experiencing the biggest delays.

There are currently 196 testers in service nationwide, with numbers expected to rise to 200 by the end of February following the completion of the next recruitment and training programme.

The number of people waiting for a test has reduced slightly, from over 80,000 to just under 79,000.
